GROUP CLASSES

We offer Group Classes every day of the week (except Sundays), that everyone and anyone can come along too. Doesn't matter your current fitness level or ability!

 

The Group classes are a structured program style of workout. The class goes a little like this...we all warm-up together, then there is a strength or skill competent like some gymnastics or weightlifting and then there is the WOD (workout of the day) which will get you sweaty and fist pumping. Check out our Instagram feed for the workouts we do daily and head over to our timetable to see what class suits your schedule.

 

So really, our group classes are unlike other gyms you may have been to before - they are Functional Fitness, tailored to your fitness level in a supportive group setting under your coaches guidance.

WEIGHTLIFTING CLASSES

Olympic weightlifting classes, whether your goal is to compete, make your Crossfit WODs easier, or just learn a new skill, a good coach’s eye is paramount in achieving the technique needed to perform the lifts efficiently (snatch and clean and jerk) In this 60 minute class we will work through drills and techniques to help you get more weight on the bar, safely. And of course squats, we will squat.

He was lifting in the regional and national championships before injuring himself (so he knows a bit you y'all). 

PILATES

Quay now offers Pilates Matwork group classes and privates. Katie our resident Pilates guru trained at the Pilates International Training Centre and tailors classes with a keen focus on helping people to become better athletes in the gym. She found Pilates a few years ago now and instantly fell in love with how it made her feel, function and look. Having had two children, she also has a passion for pre and post natal Pilates and Weightlifting.  

 

What is Pilates?

In short it is based on the belief that it is necessary to exercise all the muscles in the body as "developing the minor muscles naturally to helps to strengthen the major muscles." In the words of the founder Joseph Pilates, it "develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitally, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit." It makes your spine mobile, your trunk stable and strong, your mind clear and makes you feel bloody amazing. You need both weights and pilates...and Quay has it in the one spot!

PERSONAL TRAINING

Down at Quay we also offer Personal Training. Perhaps you want to work towards a specific fitness or training goal? It my be strength related, training for an event, you might be a professional athlete looking for a strength + conditioning coach or it might even be for rehab. Under a Quay Training Centre Qualified Coach, we can help you achieve your specific Training goals. We have flexible days and times available to fit around your work/life schedule.

PRICING $70/hour or $600/10 pack

SEMI-PRIVATES

Have a few friends or family members and you all want to workout together in a small group setting? Come down to Quay and do some semi-privates with a Quay Training Centre Qualified Coach. You can either do the WOD or we can work towards your specific training goals.

Pricing upon application depending on the number of people and the number of semi-privates/week.

NUTRITION COACHING

Here's the thing...we focus so much on the external elements of ourselves but do we actually look after the internal ones? Probably not as best you can. This is where having a nutrition coach comes in to play. Katie our resident Pilates guru is also a Level 1 Precision Nutrition Sport and Exercise Nutrition Coach. Nutrition Coaching can help with a huge variety of aspects in regards to your nutrition. Perhaps you want to lift heavier in the gym, or lose that last few kilos, gain more muscle, prepare for a fitness competition, want more energy, need better quality of sleep, want to feel more energised, have clearer skin or even know what to eat during your pregnancy or breastfeeding. Sound like something you need? Email Katie and she can come up with a plan for you. Katie likes to work with what works for you and tailors all her nutrition programs for each individual.

 

PRICING: $35/week m'ship (no lock-in, minimum term one month) with a fortnightly meeting and unlimited email and text correspondence or a one-off consult for $60.
